the lack of posts has arisen due to the fact that my laptop charger is not working, or to be exact it cannot connect to my laptop properly, resulting in my laptop not being able to be charged. i shall try to recap chinese new year as well as i can.

friday night went chinablack for bjorn's party with azad and met the normal people there. it was alright some good some bad, as usual i guess. but had fun so not complaining.

chinese new year eve was pretty much spent preparing for reunion dinner, ie lying in bed waiting for my aunt's family to come. dinner was nice tho, the normal food we have every year but it's nice so i'm not complaining. it was good to have the whole family together, i realy think that's the spirit of chinese new year, its like at least once in a year you get to meet up with family and friends you dont often see and catch up with them.

the first day was spent with my mum's side of the family had lunch. i had abit of the vinegar pork dish which is super duper good. i am craving it now hur. that night had my aunt's birthday dinner to go to at catina which is at greenleaf. they have very very good food!! left the dinner a lil early to go for drinks with my bro and my dad's friend's daughter at holland v.

second day which was yesterday, had dinner with a few of my dad's friends, and then alot more came after dinner for drinks which was very fun. all the uncles and aunties who i only probably see during this holiday period. which brings me back to my point of the spirit of chinese new year. i always liked christmas more but that's more a warm family feel. chinese new year is like a very celebratory feel. left early to go to dxo to support adel! none of my frens were there tho, i bought my juniors/students a round of drinks (hur hur oops) and then spent the rest of the night chilling with chuin, weian and jenn. left around 1 to find dan at partyworld. karaoking was fun although i didnt sing that much. and just when we uncovered their range of english songs our time was up! u know they had 50 cent and puddle of mudd and so much more. their range of english songs is so much wider than kbox. and we still have a bottle of chivas thats 1/3 finished only so we'll definitely be back and i can try the english songs! but wah all the jay chou songs and chinese songs really left me very emo.

really knocked out today and i have to leave my house soon for my brother's friend's birthday dinner. okay gab out!

i love my mum so much la she woke me up at 11 this morning.

today was spent in my room either playing the computer, chatting online, or playing the guitar. i need my band to jam soon please. sugar we're going down and grand theft autumn. excellent.

anyway i dont seem to be able to tag on my own board so..

early this monday morning, at roughly around 146am, i learnt the meaning of euphoria. or rather, i felt the experience of being euphoric. after being subject to watching a joker team called liverpool play the better football for a whole hour or so, and then watch the brave and very under-strength united start to create a few chances, it was simply amazing when a certain mister ferdinand rose highest to head past stupid reina and score in the 91st minute of the match. for those of you who know nothing about football, regulation time is only 90 minutes. so yes, that's how last minute the goal came. i went berserk i seriously started jumping up and down my television room.

football is not a passion i realised. football is life.

from sometime during tuesday afternoon when i woke up all the way till last nite 10pm, i slept a grand total of 2 hours. i kid you not. i was so extremely tired i knocked out all the way from last nite till this morning when i woke up for an hour or so to inform the school i wasnt going for work and then back to sleep till this afternoon.

so it all started on tuesday night when dan and i planned to surprise hoon for his birthday. so went asked him out for supper, and then at 1150 we went to his house and took the lift to outside his door. and then lighted the cake and dan even brought his laptop to play happy birthday by sinatra haha. then we called hoon to come downstairs cos we were already here waiting. so he opened the door and voila! surprise! he was totally stunned so it was a good surprise. two thumbs up for me and dan. so we went in to his house to eat cake and drink beer, and then we did actually go for supper, and then hoon came over and we all played computer till 6.

so then i had to get ready for work. so work till 2pm, then eric came to fetch me and tat and we went to sicc to play squash. that was tiring as well then we went to pick jae up and we went to eat boon tong kee chicken rice at river valley. wah damn nice la the pyramid shaped rice. and then we came back and i got my much needed sleep. for 2 hours. and they waked me up for mahjong and we got ready after that and then we went zouk! which was fun, sent swong and nicole home and then reached home around 5, and obviously sleeping would be a waste of time because it'll be for one hour only, so i didnt sleep.

and then on to thursday! school again, full day maths which sounds boring but was actually pretty amusing cause when the boys came up to me with questions, i had no choice but to teach them which was interesting because i didnt knoe if i could still do maths. but somehow i did manage except for last period amaths. that one i was totally lost. so then after that went to soccer with azad. played for awhile only, then had a great chat with nigey while waiting for quek and ryan. went serene to eat macs and icecream, then went over to moses' cafe. everyone, go and visit moses at his cafe ok. its next to the police centre, and its very very nice! after that reached home intending to sleep but forgot had hoon's birthday dinner thankfully yuwei came to fetch me. it was a fantastic dinner at modestos, we had two starters, two pizzas and two pastas. damn nice la. and then i came home and slept.

until 4pm today. its 9pm now. dinner, and then... sleep. goodnight world.

dan came back from brunei this afternoon so we went out tonight. met an, hoon, nala and kevin. went down to lido to catch "football hooligans". waited damn long for kevin but it was nice running into mikey and cel. chatted with them for a little.

football hooligans was seriously inspiring. the moment i walked out of the theatre, i wanted to:
1. work on my bri'ish accent (haha)
2. punch someone
3. work out
4. join a firm

the show was so good and i think you do not need to be a football fan to enjoy it. seriously 5 stars so please go catch it you will not regret it although it is a little bloody. so now i am going to start my own firm and suprisingly my football 'gang' has uncanny resemblances to the Green Street Elite (GSE) as they are called. there's me and my bro, as well as pete the leader, and his bro who used to be involved. therefore, i AM the leader rahahah. then there's nala who's studying in the states, who indirectly is a yank and therefore is elijah wood's character. and then weian is gonna take bike lessons haha so that makes him boover. and then there's the rest who are random characters, but nonetheless, a vital component of the YRE (Yiochukang Road Elite).
and jin says im the TRT (Thomson Road Terror) haha.

just got home from zouk altho its a little early cos dearest eric wasnt feeling too well. tonight was a fun night. went with eric, marc, chentat and alex. of cos there were the rest too but it was pretty fun the 5 of us. we had this really cool pre-bottled jim bean coke which was in like a collector's tin bottle. it was super nice!

so i slept at 6am this morning, due to extensive xmen legends II, and then i got a phone call at 710 from madame asking me to relief. so with only one hour of sleep, i trudged my sleepy ass down to barker. the classes were nice today, altho i took both sec 4 normal academic classes who were pretty damn rowdy, but above all they were a nice bunch of boys. most of them.

eric drove down and picked us up so then we (me, eric, tat, madame, marc) went to town and we met our favourite adam there. and we went nydc and i proudly beat madame to footing the bill today. one of my greatest achievements to date haha. then we walked and then eric came home with me and then zouk yes.

so tonight something really cool happened. i'm not a big fan of singapore idol, but this was really amazing. me al tat and marc were outside zouk when this guy came up to ME and asked me for a lighter. and the thing is none of us were smoking but out of all four of us, he came straight up to me and asked. so i took out my lighter and then i looked and he had a very familiar fringe. SYLVESTER SIM! hahaha. it was quite cool la although i'm not a fan, but he must have recognised a fellow celeb! either that or my face must really give away that i smoke. or maybe he wanted an autograph but was a lil shy and just asked for a lighter instead.

okie so that was the fabulous part of the day.

and then there was the bad.

like seriously, then what's the point.

ian's been staying over the past few days so its just been like the good ol' days back at concept blue 205 haha lazing and eating the hours away.

so i finally caught the chronicles of narnia on saturday with chuin, and i thought it was really good!! i really enjoyed it although i totally didn't knoe what the story was about (unlike harry potter or lotr where i've read beforehand). it was a lil draggy at first u knoe the part where they already found the gateway to narnia but they still come back and forth. but once they ALL went into narnia it got exciting! i thoroughly enjoyed it! although i hope someone explains to me why its such a coincidence there is a gateway to narnia in the back of the professor's wardrobe, and it just so happened the FOUR kids were sent to live with the professor. and lucy is like SUPER DUPER cute.

so after that i went to substation along armenian street to meet up with mun, adhi, nick, ian and weian cos it was nick and adhi's last night in singapore. the live band was pretty good although the guitarist/bassist looked like he was having a fit, even when he was playing an acoustic!!

sunday and today have been spent at home. on the comp, reading and just sleeping and lazing. i shall start being more lively soon. until then, gabriel out.

what a tiring day! went to barker around 4 to give the sec1s some talk. it was some old boys sharing session but it was really fun, having to answer all the questions posed by the little kids. ranging from 'whats the worst thing you ever did' (using a swear word to a teacher) to 'who was your favourite teacher' (MR CHIA!!) to the most out of point which was 'how many girlfriends do u have' (ZERO) haha! along with marc it was pretty fun cos we were indirectly reliving our secondary school days in sharing our memories with them.

they had their campfire after that and they actually wanted me to stick around and tell ghost stories but i was a lil tired so i declined. went to taka seoul garden to meet adhi nick and ian for dinner and then went to find owen. we bought 4 bottles of erdinger home, and finished them all, along with a bottle of wine, two shots of some funny shit, and another glass of wine each. and then i fell asleep while he was on the phone haha. and now im going to properly sleep because i have soccer again tomorrow. have a nice weekend!

mambo last night was pretty alright. had fun with wayne nigey and ryan but they left pretty early. stoned with chuin and gang after that till supper with her, mel, paul, darius and rachel. supper was probably the most fun, and that was because of the chicken rice. i feel like eating chicken rice now.

ian came down to singapore today, SO happy to see him really. so weian and i went to fetch him from yiochukang mrt, and we went newton along with nick, adhi and nala. we ate DAMN alot seriously. two large stingrays, check. one plate of white chai tow kuay, check. one plate of black chai tow kuay, check. oyster omelette, check. roti john, check. one $8 plate of char kway teow, check. another $3 plate of char kway teow, check. hahaha i think thats about it but it seriously was ALOT! but i think it wasnt very substantial cause i'm feeling pretty hungry now. off to the pantry to look for some stuff to fill my stomach. gabriel out! :)

hi i'm back. so a happy 2006 to everyone, albeit a lil belated. hope everyone had a good celebration, which by the way does not give you an excuse to get wasted and pissed drunk. remember, you do not need an excuse to get wasted and pissed drunk, get a bottle of beer now!

hrmph yes so jokes aside, the new year always brings reason to make resolutions in a valiant attempt to better ourselves. i have never kept a single new year resolution to date, but that's not going to stop me from making them. and so this year, my new year's resolution is to be a better person. as simple as that, and because being better is incredibly relative, i feel i have an extremely good chance of success in the year two thousand and six!

looking forward to what the new year will bring, namely surprises, roller-coaster rides and a couple of heartbreaks i'm pretty sure knowing me. but nonetheless, i have noticed a pattern that every year gets better than the previous one if you really look at it hard enough. so this year likewise, can only sure be better.

i'm boring myself even with this post but i just felt a need to update my blog. gabriel out!
