this weekend was eventful. on friday, Belle's Revenge held their first ever charity gig/fundraiser, aptly titled The Petrochemical Sunrise Concert. even though we were missing Tee and stand-in member Eli was nowhere to be found, azad and i managed to decently put on a show. i already made the whole list of people to thank on facebook but just once more, i would like to tell everyone who turned up that it was immensely appreciated and that my heartfelt gratitude goes out to you.

saturday went for to see uncle KC for my skin problem. had mcgriddle for breakfast YUM and then came home to watch collingwood start the season with a loss to adelaide zzzz. made my day worse only, the magpies seem to be doing not so well without me there anymore. napped from three in the arvo to one at night (don't ask me how) so that was saturday burnt.

today we went to Arab St to farewell our favourite shisha master preet who is leaving back to nepal tomorrow after three years in singapore. i wish him all the best back in his homeland and thank you for endless nights of top notch shisha. i was there with amos, azad and MOC instructor joel and it was pretty awesome fun. talking bout taking on wrestling personas while in camp. i should try to layeth the smacketh down on encik zak the next time i see him lol.

and then i came home and something someone messaged me made me emo. but it's quite different this time. i wasn't like "OMG wanna die" kinda emo altho i thought i would be at first. instead, i was like mildly sad and reminiscent yet somewhat nonchalant kinda emo. i mean it's been ages now and i think i've sufficiently moved on. it also helps that i have new goals that i haven't made the best of starts too which makes me all the more determined to achieve it.

i think you would be ideal for me. and i don't even know you at all. but you're very pretty, and from what i've heard, you're nice to. i'm happy even when i just see you, and i haven't felt this way for awhile. i hope eventually i say something to you, lest we continue this awkward silence. i think you probably can make me happy and i hope i get the chance to do the same for you. of course this is purely hypothetical considering we've hardly even talked before haha. but we'll see how it goes.

i reckon this is like the transitional season. people that are together break up, but those that are single are also starting to get together. it breathes optimism into the lives of those who have been in the shadows for far too long. i like seeing people fall in love. the initial teething stages where you have to get to know one another. brings so much hassle yet the suspense of not knowing what the future holds is enough to get a high from.

despite laughing at people who are back in the whole dating stage, i think it's right about i've let myself loose again. enough with the angst and the tension. just let your heart wander and see where it takes you. i reckon i'm ready. let's see how it goes.

omg it's already the middle of the month. time is honestly flying by as long as i don't think about it. few events to mention i guess, altho i can't remember that well.

two fridays ago was super good, amos and i went to find cher and her friends at 6th Ave to chill but then ERS iylia came to meet us and we had good time catching up, my SCDF friend! it was quite funny cause amos was made to drink vodka after some beer which resulted in him actually puking. haha that was hilarious FIRST time i've seen amos puke. and then when he got into iylia's car and we stopped to get mints from 7eleven, all of a sudden amos opened to car door and puked more. HAHA hilarious.

last tuesday was awesome. went to catch The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus with marc and his friends david and kevin. they were quite amazing live, and we were so hyped. marc's video of Face Down was brutally violated by our screaming and grunting in the background. apparently, you can't even hear the lead singer's voice LOL.

wednesday we went to zouk which was awesome for other reasons. and bad as well cause gabe just can't open his freaking mouth to even say hello. but it was good, marc was there and marc at zouk is such a special occasion nowadays. before that was my first outing with my colleagues from Ops dept. even though it was just with weiqiang and garvin, it was good cause they are two of my favourite-er people in the office. we brought garvin for his first shisha ever and he quite enjoyed it haha.

friday was pretty interesting. went back to BRTC/CDA for course with Lta Toh & Lta Rendall. but before that, we had to perform RedTeaming on the provosts. the end result, which is highly classified, was rather comical. had 3 hours to kill during lunchtime, so i gave my old PC Lta Quek a call and he asked me to find him in his bunk where we had a good quick chat. after which i went down to Bravo Coy PC office where i got to say hi to all my old instructors. hafiz came down and we stood by the walkway having a good catch up for half an hour, having not met since POP. even managed to incur the wrath of encik thong (what's new haha).

saturday night after watching manu's capitulation (which i shall neglect to talk about here), went over to amos' to plan our trip to the states with nat and esther. it was fun and then when they left, we played winning all the way till 430am much to our STUNNED SHOCK.

went back to CDA again today to prepare for visit. got to see new MOC instructor jon and all the old MOC instructors. my old section IC khair even said hi back at HQ. plus i sat down and chatted with instructor joel for abit.

haha i'm such a sucker for catching up with people i haven't met for awhile. even if it's people you aren't even close to, but when you have shared a particular phase with them, i always feel you have that common ground that will never make any subsequent conversation redundant or awkward.

it's late and i have completed by bi-weekly update. gabriel out!

first post of march! work's been okay, my bosses are treating me nice cause i do their work well, my colleagues and i enjoy laughing at specific weirdos in the office, and i can MAYBE see myself getting used to following this mundane schedule for another year and a half.

i can't remember what i've been doing. i know two mondays ago, we drove up to JB. it was out of the blue when amos msged me in the arvo so we just decided to go. it was a very eventful journey, first we couldn't enter the turning to the checkpoints, then the confusing signs led to us having to do a million rounds before we finally made it to the checkpoint which was damn freaking packed. and just when we thought it was the worst day in roadtrip history, nice immigrations guy directed us down a dodgy looking slope into the lorry checkpoint, thus skipping all the traffic and fastforwarding our entry pass the causeway.

JB was fun. we headed straight to eric's house and played cards before picking emily up and going for dinner at mamak. omg we had the best prata ever accompanied with the most delish mutton curry ever. i don't care who i know is in JB, i'm going there myself if i have to just to eat it again.

we went zouk last friday. wanted to catch the All-American Rejects but my dad's insistence at sending us followed by the missing Volvo collaborated with stomachache to make me miss most of the gig. i watched their final song only but still it was good to see them up close. after that, zouk was mostly memorable for the lemon drops that tasted anything but, and fun with glowsticks.

i don't even remember what i'm doing nowadays. the days past rather fast. it's quite relative. in the office i feel like time stands still. at the start of every week i want to kill myself. but before you know it, it's thursday again. and the weekend is sneaking up on us once more. gabriel out!
