as with each year, and before i forget, the roll of honour for people that wished me, solely for rememberance sake.
nigey, one day in advance over msn. was in the toilet baking cake around 1155 when i got a private call which was the very sweet and surprising ong chen tat. nicole was first to wish after 12. then was of course the housemates, dan and kevin, followed by a phonecall from jin.
woke up to messages from iannypoo and wenjin, clairey smsed in the evening before adriel, weian and jennifer wished in person at dinner.
azad and vasant messaged during dinner, before the lovely gn shumin made a repeat performance of 2006 by being the last person to wish me. add that to the wonderful people who left wishes over facebook.
sincere thanks to one and all, and if i missed anyone out, please notify me to rectify my ailing memory. there's nothing to be shy about, credit needs to given when it's due.

so i've been back from tasmania for slightly over a week now if my calculations don't serve me wrong, and it was a pretty cool place. well it definitely wasnt as fast-paced as places like melbourne and sydney, or even singapore for that matter. very relaxed, kinda reminded me of burwood when i stayed there in first year. nothing to do so there was always a house party going on, or just relaxing and browsing through your own thoughts.
we really did relax quite abit so it's not like the kinda holiday where i can go on about the things that we did, but there were numerous highlights. dinner on the second night was at this absolutely amazing restaurant called 'fee & me', which believe me, is one of the best restaurants i've ever eaten at. and being the glutton that i am, trust me when i say i have eaten at many good joints and this was easily top10 in my life. it was like just tasting portions and you could have 3, 4 or 5 courses and i went for the last one, but i didnt opt for dessert so i had five savoury courses haha. but it was really really amazing the photos we took didnt exactly do justice cause we didn't wanna take with flash and make a real scene but every dish was so delectable. my favourite would have to be the hare pie i had which was out-of-this-world i cant really describe it you have to try it.
another cool place we went was the cheese factory, and altho we didnt really get to see the cheese being made, we did the tasting and it was some really fine cheese. we bought like a whole truckload of cheese back haha. yeah that was on the way to this sorta seaside town which had pretty decent fish & chips. you know how when you go to those bays and piers, you gotta have seafood and chips cause they're so darn fresh.
yeah actually we were only there for like two whole days so there's not much we did, apart from the first night where we met jill's (our host) friends and we drank and subsequently went to this really cool pub/club place. they had this stage with this really wicked band playing and they were really good everyone was moshing to their playing. the place was really cool cause it was like an old building, it really resembled the joint in the OC, you know the one that seth worked at abit during season2 to chase the really hot blonde. yeah exactly the same.
ohwells, semester is over which means finishing up essays and mugging for exams. oh the sheer torment!! haha so i will once again make the empty promise of trying to update as often as possible, but i'll soon put up the whole album of tasmania photos as well as those from my 20th. until then, gabriel out!
