today was such a fun day.

woke up bright and early and went bowling with nicole. even though i was apprehensive about it cos i plain suck, it wasnt that bad despite a slow start. i won the first three games, and nicole won the next two haha. my highest score was like 70+ i think, that's how pathetic i am!!

had dinner at holland with tat and shumin; coffeeshop chicken chop!! damn good and then greedy tat decided he had kaya toast craving to satisfy and we headed over to yakun but tat ordered two sets plus an extra order of kaya toast!! and i was only intending to eat eggs but had to help tat finish. so tat, YOU OWE ME!!

marc then came and we spent i think 45 minutes just sitting on the walkway and talking, which was really really good. talking about everything under the sun.

funniest thing had to be when we ran into jwong and he didnt say hi to me.

the weekend passed pretty uneventfully. saturday was perhaps the most standout day.

friday night finally got to see my beloved owen chong after a prolonged absence of about 3-4 weeks?? heh heh met up with azad too, caught a drink before the chong and i came back and had a smashing session, if you know what i mean.

saturday; started out the morning bright and early waking up at 7 with a grand total of one hour of sleep haha. headed down to ccab and was the earliest there. philip came second about 10mins later haha.

played against philip and jin's church people, was good to see the old teammate daniel wong. was always a good excuse for one final catch up with younger ones like jon ong, dharham and azim. our team was completed with on-loan philip, azad and syed. i know i had a good time but then again my behavior was pretty commendable, did not kick anyone (on purpose at least) altho i was annoyed with a few people, and more than a few challenges.

night-time was good too. hoon came over for a couple of games of winning11 as well as catching the manu match. after that we went for prata. good food, excellent conversation and great company.

overall, a 10/10 weekend in my books, anytime. gabriel out!

i shall try to vaguely recollect the past week although it will be quite a futile attempt.

i can remember wednesday night mambo, drank less than normal which is of course a good thing.

last night went for joan's birthday thing, i only had one beer and half a flaming the whole night which is even better progress!! it was a funny evening tho, azad getting constantly interrupted by gerbil, and the eventual formation of the anti-J.

i didnt partake in changi hospital cos of curfew plus i'm not much of a ghosthunter so i came back reasonably early last night (0130!!!).

ok that's about it i think! bolshoi booze.

i have definitely been watching too much prison break.

last night i had a very interesting dream... i was ESCAPING!!! i dont know what i was escaping from, or who i was on the run from, but i was definitely running away.

and so "we" (i also dont know who i was with) reached this sorta pier which was kinda dodgy. because it's like those piers you see at the jetty where u look in between all the planks and u see the sea underneath, except this pier was on the top of a skyscraper, so when u look down u see a 900000000-foot drop. and somehow in dreams, my fear of heights is still present. and the queer-est thing of all is that we were on a pier on top of a building waiting for a helicopter. go figure.

so then the most prison break part of all was that we were all there waiting, and suddenly i realised one of 'us' was missing! and then i looked in the distance and i saw this old man limping away. WESTMORELAND!!! well i dont think he was westmoreland but he was definitely old and i definitely went back to help him. so that must mean i'm kinda like scofield!!!

yeah only difference is i managed to grab him and we survived and from the helicopter we ended up in a hotelboat, kinda like a houseboat but this could accomodate hundreds of people, but it wasnt a cruise ship, definitely not as comfortable.

this is the part where i stop talking about my dream because people will start thinking i'm a loony psycho.

ok time for a recap of the week.

wednesday was actually pretty good; eric commented we havent had such a good time clubbing for awhile and i'll find it hard to refute that. went with azad, eric and amos and the other younglings but met other people there too. well basically we drank alot and had alot of fun, altho i always feel so left out on the dancefloor, i just stone and play with my handphone.

thursday was nice, nicole came over and we had dinner and watched the first episode of prison break season 1 and after she left i watched all the way till 10am today morning. haha which explains why i woke up at 530 in the evening.

went to go meet up with azad just now for a drink at indochine, mostly discussing band stuff amongst other things. nicole and sam dropped by to say hi for awhile, altho they were the centre of attraction with their stools which blocked everyone's view of the band haha.

today was kinda a day that i just ate non-stop till i felt like a pig.

met jin at taka for crystal jade around 4 which was my first meal of the day. had wanton noodles, hargow and siewmai. very good indeed.

met nicole and went down to changi to eat at this super nice burger joint called bernie's. well it's more like a restaurant that has lotsa burgers, plus traditional american bbq grub. nicole had the shitake mushroom burger, while i had the ribs which were drenched in the nciest bbq sauce ever.

after that, met eric, amos and ben for 'dinner' with madam which was by now my third meal in sucha short time. i tried my best to refrain from eating but i had a few bites here and there. what a pig.

went to indochine after that for our first ever drink with madam haha. it was a groundbreaking event in itself.

everyone likes dreams, they always say dreams make you happy because more often than not, they let you have what you cannot have for those hours you spend asleep. but i dont really like them anymore. i'm starting to think they're detrimental.

imagine if you had this really really awesome dream, and then when you wake up you say, that was so good i'm not gonna let myself forget it. but even from the moment arrive at consciousness, the dream has already started slipping away from you and you try to hold on to it but as the day goes by, all that's left are fragments of particular parts of the dream.

kinda like a jigsaw puzzle of the perfect picture with missing pieces. you know how wonderful it is, but you'll never get to see the whole thing again. holding on to something so splendid and incomplete, might as well let it go yeah.

and when you not only apply this for actual dreams, but metaphorical ones as well, then it leaves you with a totally different perspective. gabriel out.

friday night was chill. started out at cosmopolitian (the old free-banana) with eric and zhi, azad the late arrival and marc, even later, but both of them very stylishly sporting umbrellas. we had a few drinks before sending zhi to change into longs.

went to grab abit at the prata place opposite beauty world. it's not bad we managed to spend $30 plus at a prata joint haha. zhi set the record with 6 pratas, altho marc says he can do that too haha. i had 2 pratas at a plate of kuay teow goreng.

we then headed down to zouk with the intention of going to winebar but azad with his reasoning (go winebar buy drinks will be the equivalent of our ticket price which has 2 free drinks!) convinced me to go in. was ok, i stood at the bar most of the time, and even when we were on the dancefloor, i just stood and sang along. what's new.

ooh the best part of zouk was probably finally getting to see MR YU GEN XIAN. long time no see my secondary school bestie and he even left his church gals to chill with us abit haha. well we gotta meet up more often.

today was pretty stoned, had a nice dinner at sicc just now for my rents anniversary. okie dokes, gabriel out.

mambo last night was pretty good. went mainly for yuji and yuda's 22nd, was only planning to drop by for abit before going cause i dont know many of their friends and kevin and yuwei weren't going but i ended up staying. it was really quite fun, and the amount of drinks they bought ensured no one was thirsty. haha amongst other interesting occurrences, the best of the night had to be me almost getting into my first ever fight with a lim brother, when some punk decided to be funny in the toilet, as well as michael chasing some guy away from the dancefloor by saying "oi that's my friend's girlfriend" haha.

woke up with quite a hangover today but nicole came over and we tried watching eragon on dvd but we were both so sleepy it failed.

went for dinner with my mum after that but that was early around five plus cause i was freaking hungry, so around 11 plus just now my stomach felt empty again. so i did the norm, called my favourite delivery, and tonight i had famous geylang lorong 9 beef hor fun, and oyster omelette. damn shiok gabriel out!

dinner was good today, which i cooked with the mum. first we had this salad which she claims is called swiss waldorf and it was essentially a fruit salad, which is very good for me. no vegetables!! then she also made some seafood creamy mediterranean like soup which was nice too. and we fried fish and prawns in beer batter. of course, i helped prepare and cook which always makes the meal tastier!

was chatting with azad just now, i realised we, or rather, i have alot of plans for The Caravan. which is why, we really really need to make it big.

firstly of cos, we have that huge world tour planned. the kind where everyone is screaming your name as you take the stage and you put on the most electrifying show ever.

secondly, i think it'll be cool to have a really interactive website like some bands eg. Story Of The Year. imagine if you have a Q&A segment on your website where fans can leave comments and questions and you regularly answer them. i think that'll be really neat, as well as the blog section where the band members update on how life is at the moment, like how it's like on the tour or how advanced we already are in the next album.

also, we already have our security personnel. owen and tat are like our MAIN MEN, they never leave our sides which also means when i have a drink they do too! haha and our bouncer is azim altho he cant see azad havoc which means we leave him at the hotel room during all our after parties and stuff. he, however, is the one at the railing who gets all those sweaty girls rubbing their bodies against as they try to get closer to the band haha. owen and tat will be backstage making sure no crazy stalkers get too close to the band.

i can only salivate at the thought of what The Caravan tour bus will be like. altho moses is pretty subdued most of the time so he'll have his quiet corner. and tang will probably entertain everyone with his antics. imagine if like your friends were part of your band crew and you all havoc on the tour bus. hot hot hot!!!

haha that was a very nice thought/dream/fantasy. fulfilment until the next time i've enough of reality, gabriel out!!

last few days have been fun.

friday night drinks at tangos. for the most part it was really just with tat and owen but that's never a problem. talking to tuborg happens alot when it's just the three of us.

nicole came over on saturday for dinner which my mum cooked for their friends. we then went out; i went to find tat and owen again, and we chilled around quite abit, running to places here and there. all whilst waiting for azad to come. but it was good managed to see loadsa people i havent seen in abit like marc, zhi and amos. we ended the night at newton with UNCLE ALEX, where we had really good food i have to say.

anyways, may seem funny but i'm quite looking forward to going back. somehow melbourne with dan, weian, kevin and of cos nicole seems a pretty fun prospect. add the people who promised to come over to visit and that should make 2007 one heck of a year.

i just woke up couple of hours back from a marathon sleep. after only five hours in the last two days i totally knocked out at 8pm last night and only woke up this morning at 10!!

yesterday had soccer at The Cage in kallang which was pretty great fun. called my wonderkid and my hot prospect along and they totally won the game for us. not to mention of cos azad's inspired finishing, where he got it i have no idea. so it was pretty fun playing with good people, in particular passing around with syed and dharham was so good it was enjoyable.

went for lunch after that at plazasing, was fun chatting and all, azad as usual regaling everyone with his stories.

the longhouse challenge came and went. hoon being the first seed was first to order, delivering three bowls of duck noodle soup to the appropriately-numbered table44. we all comfortably finished. second seeded me then ordered prawn mee dry, which came with a bowl of soup anyway. we still managed to finish, but the exertion could be seen on many of our faces. dan was next to order; three plates of hokkien mee. that was when i knew my time was up. the effort taken to finish first on both previous meals took its toll on me, and dan tapped out too. hoon miraculously finished his third and final meal to be crowned LONGHOUSE #1.

was thinking what a tough new year's eve i was gonna have tonight because i was working, but in the end i had quite a good time altho the idea was just such a horror. played at fort canning for some taiwanese tourists who were pretty enthusiastic which helped make the work enjoyable. spent the whole night on stage near azad and syed, cracking jokes about muhn, boh and doh, the three ROCKERS WITH THE ANSWERS haha. muhn upgraded his vocab lately and has moved on to 3 syllable words eg "next song is E major, ELEPHANT!!" last time he only knew D for dog and C for cat.

headed down to chijmes after the gig for a jug of beer which was really refreshing. went for supper after that before sharing a cab home with syed and azad.

dan's flown back to melbourne so the house is gonna be much quieter altho i'm pretty envious cos our melbourne apartment's FOXTEL is so much better than crabby scv.

ohwells HAPPY NEW YEAR!! will write about the past year and my ambitions for 2007 later on.
