hi. i'm back in melbourne and well :)

yesterday's weather was crazy. we played soccer and it was easily 35 degrees. it was scorching and i almost fainted on the pitch. and then after the game we went to get a bite and then it started getting dark, and it started HAILING!!! that was crazy la, that's like ice dropping from the sky?!?! and then it started thunderstorming but that's melbourne weather for you.

there's not much to talk about i guess, dan and kevin are here so it's really fun, but nick's going back on tuesday for army so thats a real downer. its gonna be a lil empty without nick. but maybe sant might be going to stay with dan and that will be fantastic it'll be like last year again.

i am in the city at its 0230 now but i am determined to wake up at 9 tomorrow morning and go for my 11am lecture. new school year, gotta get it off to a BANG! haha will keep my progress posted.

saturday was acjc funorama!! wasnt expecting to go so early but i actually woke up at a nice bright hour of 845 am. so i shared a cab and went down with cel who was meant to be helping at laura's mum's stall. we walked around abit and went to disturb moses who was selling cakes haha and walked abit more. ran into jin after that so i went around with him while cel went off with her girls, but then jin had to go help at the haunted house so i went to find azad, who was ALSO selling cakes. so i just watched azad sell cakes which was pretty friggin funny the way he suckered those people into buying. he like opened the box and let everyone look and smell the cake and everytime the next customer came he said "madam, just for YOU i'll even let you smell it!" and he went "and for only an extra $30 you can get a chocolate sponge cake!" as though thirty bucks was like spare change!

after that, he had to sell dimsum and i was pretty bored i decided to help him too! and it was damn funny because we decided to bring the dimsum tray around the whole school to sell, which was effectively like you know those dimsum places where they push the cart around and serve you. so we were carrying it down the stairs at the office so we placed the cart down for a breather and then this auntie came and wanted to buy! and because it was our first sale we didnt want to refuse. and so we sold her the dimsum and then more people walking up and down the stairs started buying too, and because we had already gotten into the motion of serving people we couldnt stop. and we easily served 10 customers in the middle of the staircase, while dozens of people walked past us. and then we finally got the cart down and we sold more. it was damn funny la but quite fun too.

and then we did the most jackass thing ever. we started our own AIYA! crew. haha it was basically me, azad, adam and shar's brother. we just went around AIYA!-ing people. but of course, even self-respecting AIYA! crew needs their own stunts. so then this cleaner that azad knows and calls him mario (because he looks like super mario) was walking past us pushing those pushcart/trolley thingys you use to transport classroom chairs you know. so i told azad to get on it and then we got mario to push azad all the way from the foyer to the canteen, while azad was standing on top pretending to surf/be superman/etc. all whilst holding two balloons tied to a rose. and whats more he almost fell down haha. so that started our whole AIYA! crew idea and watch out cos we're not finished yet.

so basically funorama was great fun, the atmosphere was nice although i swear the last time i went to funorama there were definitely more stalls. the food looked amazing although i only ate from the ramly burger stall, which was kickass good-the burger and the potato balls thingy. fun to see all the juniors/students altho mohammed top just saw me and burst out laughing haha damn funny guy. and mike the thai boy kept looking out for girls. but it was fun and more importantly, hopefully i wont be too old by the time the next funorama comes to town again.

this week so far has been very eventful. monday and tuesday was spent teaching which always brings about amusing anecdotes. one of me and azad's favourite students has to be this malay boy from 3a1. when we asked him what his name was he said mohammad TOP! and then later i asked him who really is mohammad top and he told me the JI number 2 in charge. HAHA then that day right, they were having a test. so the bell rang and this other boy was still writing even after the whole class had left so this top fella went to the boy and shouted "aye boy what you doing? WRITING BOOK AH?" it was so damn friggin funny i burst out laughing and my laughter is quite retarded as you all will know so he also started laughing. damn funny guy so i took his class pe on monday it was fun.
tuesday wasnt too bad as well, had double period swimming for my first lesson so i was talking to this other teacher mr shamir who we combined classes. liverpool fan haha, but nice guy. i realised pe teachers are really very friendly, as compared to certain other teachers, altho i have had nice teachers teaching other subs too.

had to get up early on wednesday morning cos dan's flight was at 0645 so we went to the airport at 5. had prata after that but was in no state to teach so i got azad to cover for me. then wednesday evening sent shumin off at the airport. shumin, you will do just fine dont worry okae? after that went to town with owen, marc, jin and wenhao. went to eat and drink with chong and wong, and then azad joined us. after a tray of hoegaarden and a nice set dinner, we headed down to zouk minus chong for my last mambo before flying off next week. it was okay, within 10mins of going in marc and i already had a vodka orange and two flamings EACH. haha so we were feeling good. spent most of the night with marc and azad and the rest la. although while everyone was dancing i was busy being a coathanger haha :)

cut my hair really short today and almost got laughed at but i didnt take off my cap hrmph.

last weekend, the partying starts tomorrow. gab out!

yesterday was a very good day!!

firstly, i went to the ZOO!!! with the zoo team shumin, marc and tat. for pictures, go to shumin's blog to see her and marc ride on the elephant, and the heart-shaped scale on the snake, and others.
it was really fun, i've always loved animals and besides its been so long since i last went to the zoo! the white tigers were damn nice, and the squirrels were damn kawaii cute. but i totally loved the snakes. the king cobras were EASILY 3 metres long and they were so beautiful. and the python was no funny shit man it was really THICK! but the crocodile enclosure disappointed me alot becaues for a croc hunter fan, the crocs at the singapore zoo were sure fat, stunted and ugly.

had my maternal grandma's birthday dinner later but didnt eat because we had kfc around 3 plus.

which turned out to be a bad move because i drank alot. was with russell, tat, azad and marc and indochine was pretty full so we went next door to free banana where there was this fantastic offer of six glasses and a magnum of hoegaarden for $67.70. so we had one tray and then ANOTHER. and then we went to players and swingers but it looked really bad so we loitered and contemplated going in but in the end we went to liquid bar to find shar and vick. keith came along as well and then we ordered a bucket of coronas. and then we decided to go inside the club which was really crowded and small but the music was pretty good but keith and i were waiting for mambo the whole night haha. and then the killer blow must have been the 2 bourbon cokes me and keith knocked back in like 2 mins. so we went to dance dance abit, then we went back out.
and then i went to sit on the swing and i suddenly felt like puking. it was so bad i straight away said i needed to go home. so thanks to gentleman marc who safely got me into a cab.

now i just woke up, waiting for my rents to buy prata back for me yum! and then off to my cousin's 9th birthday and then some. gabriel out!!

i have been absolutely busy the last few days! had work on tuesday, wednesday and thursday although work isnt necessarily bad. most of the students have been nice. haha so i taught chinese this week on tuesday and thursday, and music on wednesday.

eric went back on wednesday morning and once again my departure alarm has started. i am looking forward to going back because i know im going to have fun, but i dont wanna leave at the same time.

had lunch in town on thursday with russell after school. went to kacheow the miss sixty salesgirl before going to eat chicken rice ha. thursday night was fun. marc, tat, shumin and cel came over to mahjong. and i couldnt stop winning!!! for awhile la TAT couldnt stop winning. it was fun!

went simlim yesterday to get a new laptop so now i have a new HP heh heh. then hoon came over and him me and dan watched the african nations cup final together and we all fell asleep and woke up this morning. haha ok breakfast now, gabriel out!

today was a nice day. i woke up for lunch with weian, adhi and munhong. we went ghim moh to eat and we had 16 chee kweh (i ate 10 haha), chicken rice, and char kway teow. altho i didnt eat the char kway teow. and it was nice meeting up with them and all, melbourne people haha.

after that weian gave me a lift to nie and there was soccer! lennard, azad, adam, chichao, syafiq, ericsee and me played against some barker boys that azad taught. haha it was quite fun altho we were much bigger than them so it was abit of a mismatch but we didnt play to our fullest abilities im sure so it was quite fair la. then we played first to five goals wins, and i must proudly say i scored all 5 goals for my team. one chip from outside the box, two long range efforts, and two close range finishes equals five goals! haha very fun.
lennard was damn good la his dribbling was amazing the little boy had no choice but to hack him down! and azad also scored and even ADAM played well in defence haha. but it was not reall far in the end cause we had me, lennard and chichao who are school team standard haha altho lennard wasnt in the school team, thats my opinion though.

then after this i'm going to meet ericky chang. what a splendid day. bye bye.

this is rooney. rooney is currently one of the world's best players, and is undoubtedly manu's most important player right now. he scores wonder goals and is unstoppable as long as he refrains from clapping in referees' faces.



meet cristiano. he is super duper annoying at times, but on his day he is a joy to watch. cheers to more goals, assists, freekicks and stepovers!!


yay!! manu just won fulham 4-2 and cristiano scored 2! gab's a very happy boy altho cristiano's english was really bad i was laughing while they were interviewing him. they were trying to ask him if he had meant to make his freekick swerve so much. and he replied "well i trained hard this week and i'm very happy". and so the guy asked him again so did you practise on swerving the ball so much in training? to which he duly replied "well i trained hard this week and i'm very happy". haha what a retard but still CRISTIANO TWO GOALS!!!

last night i must say i had an extremely amusing cab driver. first he talked to me about the drunkard who puked in his cab before i boarded and kept asking me "still got smell or not?" then he proceeded to discussing on middle aged women who go jogging and like to expose their bodies and he kept saying "sibei pai kuahh!!" haha. and then he went on to surprise me when he was like saying after all as chinese we must have abit of face since we have like 5000 over years of history. he was saying we have more history than the greeks, and the mesopotamian empire. and believe me, the word 'mesopotamian' did indeed come out from his mouth. and then he started talking to me about sigmund freud, psychoanalysis, and he even mentioned carl rogers who i believe isnt one of the more famous psychologists unless you study psychology (like me heh) then you would have heard of him. all these from an uncle who constantly spoke mandarin and hokkien!! it was very amusing he was so learned!

i dont wanna go back to melbourne but at the same time, thinking of all the wonderful memories created over the last two years, i just know this year will be another fabulous one. i just dont wanna leave behind everything all over again.
