so the easter holiday break for a week is over, but today was anzac day so it was a public holiday so it was still holiday mood.

stayed at home to watch footy today. collingwood beat essendon so that was nice, otherwise i might have been grumpy. but the magpies played really well, although it was a slow start. overall, a wonderful game on a nice holiday!

last few days have been alright. managed to help nicole's friends surprise her on her birthday which came off pretty well much to my surprise. thought it was pretty obvious haha.

so a happy belated 18th birthday to my dear nicole teo :)

mum and dad have come since friday morning so its been pretty nice, having free expensive meals! haha but of cos the best thing is having their company around ;)

lately i've been very obsessed with aussie football, or commonly known as footie. i have been supporting collingwood since trinity but i never really paid much attention. last year, they finished second-last. but this year i dont know why i've suddenly taken a huge and serious interest in them and i've found i really enjoy the football they play. hence i have been following them and watching their matches almost religiously!
last week, they beat hawthorn for their first win in since round something of last season. today i just watched them beat the kangaroos by 77 points!! it took me awhile to warm up watching footy but its really damn exciting awhile. dan and kevin can testify to that cos they've been watching lately as well.

tomorrow sant and i are going to buy a football and start kicking!!

ok easter break so its a one week holiday!! good to catch up on sleep and play. haha alright gabriel out! happy EASTER!!

tuesday night was pretty cool. my housemate hayden asked me for a smoke, so i joined him and then our other housemate fox joined us. so we went down to the foyer to smoke and he like poured me a glass of wine so we were just chilling and talking. and then this other american dude jamie came along really drunk. and he was talking about his new guitar. and the next thing i know the 4 of us were in my living room taking turns to jam. haha it was really odd but pretty fun, although i couldnt sing cause i was still sick. jamie was so drunk, i had just played "sugar we're going down" and then i played "grand theft autumn" after that, immediately once i had finished, he went "do you know how to play sugar we're going down"? and there was really a MOMENT of silence. but was pretty fun.

nicole followed me to the doctor's on wednesday morning and i got my two day mc, which i have not used to apply for extension of my assignment due date but which i will duly do so on monday.

this weekend has been pretty fun, we played poker last night and i won but overall im still down by $40 plus. and then watching footie this week has been exciting cos of little $5 bets i made at TAB. although i have yet to win thanks to stupid nathan brown of richmond and brad johnson of western bulldogs. i bet on nathan brown to be top goal kicker in richmond-stkilda, and brad johnson to be top goal kicker of the whole round 2. at least the latter kicked 3 goals, nathan brown did not even kick one goal in!!!

thanks to sant i've been betting soccer again. its been ok, nothing too spectacular. although with a $5 bet, i could stand up to win $670 this weekend. all that needs to happen is that:
1)manu need to win arsenal
2)betis need to win cadiz
3)udinese need to win livorno
4)portsmouth-blackburn more than 2.5 goals
5)newcastle-boro more than 2.5 goals
6)spurs-mancity more than 2.5 goals (which has already happened!!! :D)

if all goes to plan, this will be a very good weekend indeed. ok gabriel out!!

being back in burwood has its many benefits. i get my much needed solitude and my much valued alone time. been pretty occupied doing my 40% assignment due on monday, although i do squeeze in some time to play fm, as well as catch up with important people thanks to trusty burrow internet.

had a nice chat with my housemate just now, just for catching up's sake cause i havent been back for awhile. such a nice guy, he emailed my hostel manager and asked if i was still alive cos he had not seen me for so long. too bad he's only here for this semester, which is almost half gone. i have decided i shall spend more time with him, even though all we ever do is go drinking haha.

so i am contemplating whether or not to go to the doctor and get an mc so i can apply for extension of assignment submission because i have fallen ill. i have a very bad throat, a blocked nose, a phlegmy cough and a fever : (
but if i manage to get half my assignment done by wednesday then i probably wont need an extension la.

ohwells im going offline now. will try to update more frequently. miss home and the friends. eric and marc came and left. was good fun though. gabriel out!
